Not being Catholic myself, I have been to a few weddings at Catholic churches, but never anything else. My very dear friend Erin’s son recently received his First Communion and I was invited! I’m always a little nervous about doing the wrong thing at these very structured and ritualistic services, so I didn’t take TOO many pictures. Plus I didn’t want to disrupt, of course! A few were just to sweet not to share though.
I loved that they walked in with their hands in the prayer position. (I am sure there is an actual word for this.) And here are Mama and sweet sister watching proudly as Thomas enters the sanctuary. (Sorry Adam, I didn’t get you in any!)
Go back and look at that picture again. Thomas did NOT like how the wine tasted when he tasted it previously. Knowing that little nugget, I love the expression as he looks into the cup before he drinks.
He is clearly the coolest kid there, don’t you agree?
And look how quickly that boy changed into play clothes for his party and cake after. Love him!
