Maria and Zach- Wedding Photos

I have so many things to say about this wedding.  From the amazing style and smile of the bride to the easy-going, comfortable demeanor of the groom… the laughter-filled bridesmaids to the fun-loving, dance-loving groomsmen… the amazing band, food, bride’s dress… the perfect day both schedule and weather-wise.  All of it was better than I even expected.  But if I told you all the things I wanted to about Maria and Zach’s day, this blog would cease to be about photography.  So, I’ll restrain myself.

The cloudy day began at Richard Joseph Salon Spa with all the girls.  It was so relaxed and fun that it really just felt like a bunch of friends having a spa day instead of preparing for a wedding.  By the time we progressed to Trinity United Methodist Church for a few portraits there wasn’t a cloud in sight.  The portraits we got at Railroad Park captured Maria and the girls’ moods perfectly!

Maria’s Liancarlo dress seemed like it was made for her.  And the flowers by KG Designs complimented it perfectly.  Meanwhile, at Aloft Hotel the boys were getting ready, too.  My awesome second shooter Amy did a great job with this group of really fun guys.  (Seriously, if you’re a single girl, find yourself an SAE from Milsaps College.)Maria and Zach agreed to see each other at Railroad Park.  It was bright, but I love the city in the background.  The reception at The Avon Theater was beautiful.  The dance floor was surrounded by lights, the Fountain City Players got everyone off their feet fast and Kathy G’s food was fabulous! Maria was the little sister of Zach’s fraternity, SAE, so they all sang to her.  Shortly after, her sorority sisters surrounded her for a perfectly harmonized serenade, too.  Now.  Usually at receptions, a few reluctant guys are shoved forward to “try” to catch the garter.  Many times the garter just falls to the floor.  Not today.  These guys were READY.  Two of them actually caught it and had a fight to the death to see who won.
