It’s a darn good thing that the client I photograph most is irresistibly adorable. Abigail turned 6-months-old at the end of December, and with holidays and travel and all the goings on, we finally got her 6 month portraits done in her 7th month. What’s hard about photographing babies, is that they get fussy and have had enough at some point. So, you stop and play and feed, and rest. What’s fun about this process with Abigail is that her mom and I just chatter away! We have so much in common- 6 month old daughters, our church, both have large families- so it’s no shock that we have no shortage of things to chatter about. And all the chatting paid off, because this session turned out just as adorably as her others.
It was a rainy, cold day, so instead of trying to find another time to shoot, we just brought it inside. You tell me if Abigail seems to mind…As a mom, I really hate milestones. I know we’re supposed to brag and feel proud, and there is a little of that, but mostly it reinforces that my baby is growing up and needing me less and less. I LOVE the baby phase. It’s easy for me and they’re so sweet and cuddly. So, this toothless grin in the next one makes me so happy! Can’t they just stay toothless, sweet lumps of love?
