All weddings are happy, but Anna and Patrick’s big day was full of pure joy from start to finish. From the moment I arrived in Decatur, AL, Anna’s hometown, I could feel how much love surrounded this couple. Guests traveled from near and far to celebrate them, and the happiness in the air was simply palpable. Their joyful Witt House Wedding is definitely one I will remember.
Their day was filled with special moments, but one of my favorites from the day was Anna and Patrick’s first look. The second Patrick saw Anna, his expression said it all—pure happiness, love, and admiration. It was such a sweet, emotional moment. One thing is certain, these two were meant for each other. Not to mention, Patrick was the happiest groom I’ve ever seen, and he just lit up whenever he was around Anna.
Wedding Details
Anna was the epitome of timeless beauty in her lace wedding dress, complemented by a stunning white rose bouquet. Her bridesmaids looked equally elegant in classic black dresses, each carrying a bouquet of crisp white florals.
The floral design throughout the day was breathtaking. While the bridal party kept things timeless with white florals, the church and reception florals were bursting with color, bringing a lively springtime feel to this January wedding. Friends of the couple created these gorgeous floral arrangements, featuring a mix of white roses, lush greenery, coral, pink, and soft purple blooms.
Joy-Filled Witt House Wedding
Following their beautiful church ceremony, guests made their way to The Witt House for the reception. This venue was such a unique and stunning space, and I especially loved the champagne display by the entrance, where guests could grab a glass upon arrival—a perfect touch to kick off the evening. The night continued to unfold with lots of laughter, heartfelt toasts, and dancing as everyone celebrated the newlyweds.
One thing that stood out about Anna and Patrick was how much they cared about the people who shared in their day. When they hired me, they mentioned that they loved how my work captures the wedding party and guests and not just the couple. It was important to them that their photos reflected the love and support surrounding them on their special day. This wedding was truly about the people as much as the details.
