While I am primarily a Birmingham wedding photographer, I do photograph other types of sessions. Branding sessions are one of my favorite types of sessions. I just love getting to know business owners and working together to bring their brand and vision to life. Branding sessions are a wonderful way to showcase both the business owner and their work. I recently had the opportunity to capture 5 different branding sessions for other Birmingham and Nashville business owners. Each one was an absolute treat!
Birmingham Branding Sessions
Claire White, owner of White Ink Calligraphy is also in the wedding industry with me! She is the one behind the scenes designing all the beautiful wedding invitations, signage, displays, and day-of-details. The wedding details she creates literally brings weddings to life and tells a story. Her branding session took place in her Nashville studio and I loved grabbing shots of her in action as she worked on wedding details.
Another branding session I captured was Elizabeth Lee with Hazel House Collective, who owns a vintage rug shop in Birmingham. I cross paths often with Elizabeth as we are both moms and business owners with kids in the same school system. Her business is amazing and I love getting to shoot her inventory every quarter so she has fresh content to share of her work.
Artist, Christen Colvert, is another amazing mom and business owner in my area that I know. Her artwork is stunning and I loved capturing images for her business Christen Colvert Art, showcasing her and her paintings.
Two other Birmingham branding sessions I’ve captured recently include Counselor, Martha Furio, and a local music and voice coach, Marjorie Trimm Voice.
For each of these five branding sessions, we made sure to include items that were a part of their business like Marjorie at her piano, or Christen with a paintbrush in hand. The goal for branding sessions is always to communicate your brand and the items and services you provide in the images, while also incorporating your personality. These images should be an authentic representation of both you and your business.
It has been so much fun and so inspiring to photograph branding sessions and step away from my normal wedding photography, which is still the heart of my photography business.
