I know most of what you see around here is weddings, and I love them. It’s so special to be invited into someone’s wedding day, but even more special to be tasked with capturing those important memories forever. It was also part of my original business plan (and dream) to be with people from their wedding days to their first moments as parents, to the milestones in their family’s lives, and even on to their children’s weddings someday. I thought it would be fun to look back at one such family where I’ve had the honor and joy of doing just that!
From Weddings to Parenthood and Beyond: Robina and John
Robina and John found me randomly on Google for their engagement session in 2018 and it was an instant bond. Over the years, I’ve gotten to be with them for their amazing Birmingham Zoo wedding, the beginning of life with both of their sons, and even a few family sessions as the years go on. You can see more of their really unique zoo wedding, including a carousel and elephants here. I’m so excited to see them again this fall, as family mini session season is upon us. I bet you’ll see them in some instagram posts too!
It’s personal, ya know? Being with people on such weighty occasions, preserving memories of relationships and moments and telling their stories for future generations. It’s an immeasurable honor that I love. To all those families who have allowed me to come alongside them and capture their big life moments, thank you! It means the world to me.
