When I met Danielle at her aunt’s house for her bridal portrait session a few months ago, it just happened that her cousin Liesa had just gotten engaged. I talked to her mom about the details for a while, and a few weeks later, met Liesa and Chad about their wedding. They were wonderful about working with my travel schedule and we got together this past weekend to do their engagement session. It was an incredibly hot day, but the cloud cover helped us stay slightly less miserable! The nearby thunder had us a bit nervous, but it held off so we could get some beautiful portraits of these two love-birds. My favorite part about the session was Chad’s ability to relax Liesa. Occasionally this crazy photographer would ask her to do things that made her nervous about falling, falling in the water or just feel downright silly. Every time Chad was able to get a totally relaxed smile out of his blushing bride. I like to call this fun game “look mom, no hands.” Turns out it’s hard to kiss without falling into each other when not using your hands!Liesa and Chad are being bold enough to go into a marriage with a major obstacle…I bet they’ll figure it out.
