Michelle is another precious girl that I’ve known since she was a child. We all knew her wedding would be fabulous (although there was lots of speculation that she would be in a bedazzled princess gown- did she ever shock us!!) and her wedding did not disappoint. What was even MORE fabulous was watching her and Brad. They make each other laugh and really understand each other. He, for example, knew to spoil and surprise her on her wedding day… and did he ever. You’ll see her reaction below to the letter saying he was taking her to Fiji for their honeymoon! Trinity United Methodist is a beautiful church for a wedding, and such an easy place to work with. I hadn’t heard the pastors that officiated at a wedding before and I loved what they said. Jack said that we often think of “submission” as an icky word. But this was his definition and I really like it:
“Giving each other the authority in your life to help you.”
Doesn’t that sound nice? You’d have to really know, love and respect each other to be trusting and trustworthy to handle such a task.
So many details I could mention… Her dad fluffed her veil before they walked down the aisle. I had never seen that in nearly 100 weddings over the years. At one point (after I had danced a little- see below) I looked back and saw some bridesmaids eating cake with forks STRAIGHT from the cake table! HA! The grits and fried green tomatoes were delicious!!! B&A Warehouse was awesome as always, but especially considering there was a Baron’s game going on next door. You would never have known… they made it so easy to navigate. So much thanks to two other awesome Alabama Photographers Mandy Baughn and Sarah Sexton for assisting me!
