I’ve lived in Birmingham almost my entire life, and until Julie and Matt asked me to shoot their wedding there, I had never set foot inside The Donnelly House. It’s so beautiful, y’all!!! And the owner and coordinator are so knowledgeable and so lovely to work with. It was a perfect place for this fun, beautiful and easy-going wedding.
Julie and Matt are so comfortable with each other and it puts everyone around them at ease. In the homily, the pastor said that Matt knew he had to marry Julie when he enjoyed being with her just as much, or even more, than his guy friends. They level each other out… type-A and laid back at their best. And this beautiful day reflected that.
I always have a hard time not dancing at weddings, but when you add Latin music into the equation…. well, it was even harder. Julie’s family and friends from Colombia had us all smiling and ready to go. Yellow Bicycle Catering even used some of the family’s favorite Colombian dishes into their spread!
