The location of this seaside Florida wedding was the single most meaningful part of this day, not because it was picturesque (however, it definitely was!), but because it mattered to this family in a deep, generational way. The bride’s grandparents were among the first to build in the now-wildly popular community of Seaside, Florida. This area is known for its beautiful beaches, as well as the stories and memories that are woven into the community. In fact, Anna and Jake got engaged in the same pavilion where her grandparents once renewed their vows, and the significance of that came through in every moment of the wedding day.
Seaside Florida Wedding
For me, wedding photography has always been about more than stunning images. Anna and Jake’s desire to have a life and partnership together, the gravity of their vows and love for each other are why I love what I do so much. They were a dream client as a couple who deeply valued marrying each other and starting their lives together immediately. That was why this day felt like such a gift. I saw not only how deeply Anna and Jake loved each other, but how deeply their families love them and how their faith shaped the entire weekend. I loved the families’ devotion to their children and their faith.
Watching friends and family gather not merely to celebrate a wedding, but to bear witness to the start of a life committed to each other and to faith was beautiful and a story I am so thankful to tell.
There were so many little details throughout the day that pointed back to the meaning and purpose of this day from bookshelves filled with family heirlooms to the watercolor map of Seaside in the invitation suite, to the prep time at Anna’s grandma’s house.
This day was as perfect as it looks. Armour Events did an amazing job turning this precious family’s heritage, feelings, and priorities into a physical, tangible celebration that truly felt like them. The couple is so in love, and that along with God’s plan for them was the focus of their day. This wedding was exactly the type of celebration I dream of photographing. Watch for my next blog, because the design and reception from this day deserves its own day in the spotlight.
