One of the most amazing parts of my job is watching clients develop their ideas and feelings about their wedding into a physical event. Anna, the stunning bride, and her mama, Lisa, worked with Renee of Armour Events to emphasize their family’s history and memories together in Seaside through Anna’s wedding. Renee took their history and experiences and guided the family to decisions about vendors, materials, spacing, colors, flavors, and sounds to allow guests to share in the warmth and joy of the family’s heritage. It is awe inspiring. Together we put together a DREAM TEAM of vendors that made this day so incredibly special. This Seaside wedding design and details is one I will be dreaming about for years to come!
As detailed in my first blog about Anna and Jake’s Seaside wedding day, their reception unfolded at Seaside, FL; a place that has always been home. Seaside is a popular destination and for good reason. However, for this couple, Seaside is a place where their family has rooted memories over generations. Anna and Jake’s wedding honored their love, faith, and their strong connection to their family and Seaside.
Seaside Wedding Design and Details
The super talented stationer, Velvet Fox Designs, was a perfect fit. You could tell so much about this wedding day just by opening the invitation. The soft blue tones alluded to the coastal, blue waters of Seaside. Then the watercolor map of Seaside, FL included in the invitation suite literally invites you inside, making you want to be there.
This wasn’t just a pretty wedding; it was one where every design choice told a story. Couples who pay attention to detail, and planners who make client’s vision a reality and include details that allow personality and meaning to shine, are my favorite to work with. The white and blue colors worked together effortlessly, creating a dreamy aesthetic that perfectly complemented the coastal 30A area.
One of my favorite details was the large blue bookshelf display. Lining the shelves were family bibles, photographs, heirlooms, pottery, and pieces collected over time. All around the lawn and inside the tent, soft white flowers balanced with greenery decorated the space. Thanks to the talented Megan Pettus Films, we were able to view the entire reception and design from above. The clear tent opened up a whole new perspective. The aerial view allowed us to take in all of the lovely details, the dance floor, lighting, and layout, all at once!
Outdoor Tented Reception
The gorgeous, clear tented reception space was a dream. The open-air environment and the cozy seating arranged around the lawn and inside the tent served as an invitation for guests to relax, enjoy, and slow down. Guests lounged and laughed, and later filled the dance floor with non-stop energy. Towards the end of the night, the newlyweds wanted a worship song to close out the night with the right focus. I expected everything to come screeching to a halt, but it didn’t. It got bigger and more passionate. The DJ, videographer and I all said “We have never seen anything like this before.” It was truly an amazing experience.
The meaningful details merged with thoughtful and intentional design created a truly memorable wedding that was beautiful, authentic, and unforgettable.
