Lauryn was another example of a bride I hit it off with right away. I think our first “meeting” was on the phone and still… fireworks. Not even close to the kind of fireworks between she and Jason. Which I got to witness at their engagement session. We wandered around and it rained and we drank coffee (coke for me) and they were so in love. Wanna know something even cuter than their adorable chemistry? They married siblings!!! Her sister and his brother are married!!! Isn’t that storybook???
She had so many sentimental details… jewelry from her grandma, mom and sister. She and Jason separately played and sang the same song during their day to play for each other later. She and her maids got ready at her parents house, where she grew up. During her first look with her father, he gave her the Rafi record that she grew up listening to :). The wedding was at possibly my favorite church to shoot at, St Mark the Evangelist and the reception was truly the best dance party I’ve been to, at Inverness Country Club. I MAY have made an appearance on the dance floor. Let me highly recommend The Retreat, if you’re looking for a band. They played every generation, mash-ups, songs no other bands play, just the right length songs, just the right amount/length set breaks…
The highlight of the day though, that had me and my second shooter all choked up, was her father’s toast. It was the sweetest. Told all about Lauryn’s strong points and accomplishments, revered his wife, joked about but respected his new son-in-law. Perhaps he should moonlight as a speech writer.
Here’s the bottom line… the day/night/party was so much fun that we all stayed 2 hours later than planned. Dancing, laughing… and no one complained.
