While I am mainly a wedding photographer, I also love taking portraits! This year, I captured several spring senior portraits, which was especially meaningful because my own daughter graduated alongside many of these seniors. I’ve known so many of these students for years. I’ve been friends with their parents, watched them perform in show choir, march in the band, compete in sports, and simply grow up into incredible young adults. Needless to say, photographing these senior portraits felt a little extra emotional for me, but I loved every minute of it.
Spring Senior Sessions
For every senior session, I always spend time talking with each senior about what they envision, as I always try to find the location of their dreams and for their photos to feel like them. This spring, there was definitely a theme! Nearly every senior asked for a more garden setting with flowers and soft, natural scenery. Thankfully, spring in Alabama gives us no shortage of beautiful blooms, and I loved scouting locations that matched each senior’s vision.
Senior year is such a unique season. It’s full of excitement, anticipation, and celebration for what has been accomplished and what lies ahead. I just love capturing senior portraits and documenting this monumental moment in their lives.

Fall Senior Sessions Coming Soon!
Fall is one of my favorite times to photograph seniors. Birmingham’s autumn color is beautiful, with warm golden light and colorful foliage that creates such a timeless and scenic backdrop. Booking fall senior portraits also means there is one less thing on your plate during the busy spring season, when calendars fill up quickly with prom, graduation events, sports, and celebrations.
To the Class of 2026 and all of the families who have trusted me to document their senior portraits, thank you. Watching these kids grow into remarkable young adults has been such a joy! Congratulations to the class of 2026; I know you will go on to do big things!
