Mary Paige and her children were so excited to have Josh officially join the family. Actually, everyone was over the moon excited. This 30A beach wedding weekend was an emotional celebration from start to finish and I loved watching their family become one. Every detail was special, as the focus was family and folding Josh into it.
30A Beach Wedding Weekend
The wedding weekend kicked off with a fun rehearsal dinner at the family’s incredible beach house in one of 30A’s beautiful communities. The house itself was such a meaningful setting for this family, and having everyone together there made the day feel less like an event and more like a family gathering that happened to include a wedding.
The morning of the wedding, there were cousins playing cards while the adults chatted and got ready. There were all these sweet and quiet moments tucked into the busyness of the day. Seeing the love shared between this family left such an impact. It was emotional and moving to see the pure joy everyone shared at watching Mary Paige and Josh marry each other.
I’ve always believed that one of the most important parts of my job is recognizing the emotions and gravity of what I’m photographing. These aren’t just pretty pictures. I’m being trusted with someone’s wedding day, their relationships, and capturing the people in their lives that matter most, along with their joy and happy tears, and all of the little moments they may not even realize are happening. Capturing moments as they unfold means so much to me and I never want to rush those moments. There were so many of these special, in-between moments during Mary Paige and Josh’s wedding weekend, and it truly meant so much to me to document it all.
30A Wedding Ceremony & Reception
These two exchanged their beautiful vows during their wedding ceremony, officiated by a close friend. Afterwards we took a group photo of everyone in attendance, which I know will be a keepsake Mary Paige and Josh will treasure. Then we headed to the beach to capture their newlywed photos before heading to Ambrosia 30A for an intimate dinner at one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to.
The relaxing atmosphere gave everyone another opportunity to sit around a table and celebrate together. They ended the day with a farewell beach bonfire, complete with a family crab hunt. Every part of their wedding weekend felt personal, and that is what I loved most about this wedding. Everything was centered around what matters most: their union and family.
Mary Paige and Josh, thank you for trusting me to document your beach wedding weekend. It had everything I would dream of, and it was a dream to be a part of. I am so grateful I got to witness the joy of your family becoming one.
