As sweet, intimate, and calm as Mary Paige and Josh’s 30A beach wedding weekend was, their Birmingham wedding reception at The Fennec with all their friends back home was a PARTY! Everyone was so excited about this amazing couple and they wanted to show it. The dancing was constant and the smiles were non-stop!
Josh said during his welcome toast, “This girl wants to dance for the next 2 hours, so please anyone not super good looking, please come dance!” And all the people, no matter their level of good-looking AND including Josh danced until the last beat faded.
This is another reason I love photographing weddings. I get to watch people love and interact with each other. Sometimes that means capturing tender moments between a bride and her mom getting ready,the overwhelming, happy emotion during a first look, or a father trying to get through a toast without crying. Other times, as in this case, it’s a packed dance floor full of people who are having the best time and refuse to stop dancing. I love it all!

The Fennec was perfect for their reception location. It is a favorite Birmingham wedding venue of mine. It’s beautiful, the staff is amazing, and the food is sooooo good! It has everything you need for an amazing wedding night! Then, you add in a band that keeps everyone dancing like Powersurge with Norris Dates, and you have one unforgettable night.
Mary Paige and Josh, your 30A wedding weekend was already one of the sweetest celebrations I’ve gotten to photograph, and then you brought everyone back to Birmingham and somehow made it even more fun.
I’m ready to do this again! What party should we do next MP and Josh?!
